Free notary service is now available at the Hudson Library & Historical Society during most of the Library’s hours of business, including evenings and weekends. Notary publics are on staff, but schedules vary; please call ahead to confirm availability. Ohio law requires that the person signing the document to be notarized must appear in person and present identification. Call the Library at (330) 653-6658 x1010 for more information.

The library provides telefacsimilie services for the public.
Outgoing faxes:
Documents faxed to U.S. site-- $2 for first page; $.50 for each subsequent page. No charge for a library-supplied cover sheet containing routing instructions only. No international fax service is provided.
Incoming faxes:
Documents will be received for a customer at $.20 per page. Customer will be notified by phone, unless otherwise requested, when a fax is received for him, if contact information is given on the document or cover sheet. Faxes will be held for 1 week for pickup. Charges for documents not picked up will be charged to the patron’s library account.
Outgoing and Incoming faxes (library-related business):
Documents faxed to patrons in response to reference questions (i.e. photocopied magazine articles, pages from library books) will be charged to the patron’s account at $.20 per page.
When you can't come to the library, let us come to you! The Hudson Library & Historical Society offers selection and delivery service to Hudson residents who are unable to visit the Library in person, due to extended illness, physical disability, or extreme transportation problems. Tell us what you like to read: mystery? romance? history?
We'll choose the books based on your interests and delivery them to you each month.

You will need to show identification, such as a valid Ohio Driver’s License, a birth certificate, or another legal document showing your date of birth. You will be issued a yellow temporary card, which you can use immediately at all participating businesses. Your permanent Golden Buckeye Card will arrive in the mail in 6 to 8 weeks.
The Hudson Library & Historical Society now carries foreign language materials including books and DVDs in several different languages. We have over 450 books in languages including French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi in both fiction and non-fiction. We also carry magazines and juvenile books in Chinese and Japanese. The collection comes to us through the courtesy of the Cleveland Public Library’s Foreign Literature Department, and the collection changes every four to five weeks. We welcome your requests for particular types of books or for books in other languages.
Visitors to the Hudson Library & Historical Society can also obtain books and audiocassette tapes in any of the 45 languages available at the Cleveland Public Library. We have lists of recently received books to assist you in your selection. We will gladly place orders for the materials you request: in most cases, your order will arrive within one week.

The Hudson Library & Historical Society provides interlibrary loan services for materials not found within the Clevnet consortium of libraries. Items can be requested at the reference department and you will be notified when they have been received. The loan period for items borrowed through interlibrary loan is two weeks.
The library provides free WiFi. It is recommended that all devices connecting to the Wireless Internet Access have updated anti-virus and firewall software. Wireless Internet Access through the Library is provided on an unencrypted, unsecured wireless network. Most VPN tunnels have been disabled.

Connecting into the Wireless Network
This is one of the many projects funded by the Friends of the Hudson Library & Historical Society. Laptops may be checked out for up to two hours on the 2nd floor of the building in the Adult Department. The Teen Department also has laptops for loan, but they are required to remain in the teen room.
Wheel Chair Available for Patron Use
The Hudson Library & Historical Society offers a wheel chair for in-house use by any patron who needs help getting around the facility. Ask about this service at the circulation desk
Voter Information/Absentee Ballots
Forms for Voter Registration and applications for Absentee Ballots may be picked up at the Circulation and Reference Desks.
